Pepperhill Solar Farm
Boningale, UK
UtilityPepperhill Solar Farm is a landmark 23 MW utility-scale project delivering clean, reliable energy to the UK’s West Midlands. Powered by our Vertex N modules and built on a 2P FixOrigin bipost structure, the installation demonstrates how smart engineering and local integration can bring utility-scale solar to life efficiently and sustainably.
The site’s clay-rich soil presented geotechnical challenges, with shrink-swell behaviour and variable ground consistency requiring a flexible foundation strategy. Through a combination of predrilling and direct piling, the project adapted to site-specific conditions across multiple fields, ensuring structural integrity and long-term stability.
The project avoids 4,700 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, equivalent to taking over 1,000 cars off the road or planting more than 200,000 trees, and contributes meaningfully to the UK’s renewable energy transition. Durable modules, efficient structures, and low-maintenance design ensure long-term reliability and lower operational costs.
Delivered in partnership with Elmya, Pepperhill Solar Farm is a testament to how thoughtful design, local expertise, and high-performance technology can deliver on time, on budget, and with lasting environmental impact.
